Questions & Answers
Those who are not Catholic are welcome to attend Mass. They may not, however, receive communion.
Mass usually lasts about an hour and consists of two parts. The first half (Liturgy of the Word) includes readings from Sacred Scripture and a homily (sermon). The second half (Liturgy of the Eucharist) involves the consecration of the Holy Eucharist and Holy Communion of the faithful.
If you are unsure of what to do or say and when to do them, please do not be alarmed or ashamed. Just follow along. There's always a first time for everything.
If you are from the Mayetta and Hoyt area, Saint Francis Xavier would be closer to your location. If you are closer to the Holton area, Saint Dominic is the church you might want to go to. The Shrine of Our Lady of Snows is located in the Potawatomie Indian reservation if you are visiting there.

As Catholic Mass is a time of solemn worship, we highly encourage those who attend to wear appropriate clothing. The term "Sunday's best" encompasses our respect and love for God by honoring His presence through the way we modestly dress ourselves.
PLEASE DO! We welcome families and encourage children to attend Mass with their parents! We understand that sometimes kiddos tend to have trouble keeping still. We have a small "cry room" the back of the church, outfitted with a window and sound system, if you ever need to move away from the main body of the church with your child.
Yes, parking is available at all our sites, including Handicap Parking. For Saint Dominic, the location of our Handicap-accessible parking is behind the church building.
Welcome back!! You may want to talk to the pastor before you receive Communion to make sure you are properly disposed to receive the Holy Eucharist.
